:: About This Blog

The id10t virus was one of the first viruses ever created. Before the internet was even brought upon the world, it was spawned from user-to-user contact and born into a dormant state. But, when the user activates an interface with his computer, the virus is transmitted, and infects every bit of data available. Upon internet connection, bits and pieces of the self-regenerating virus are left behind, the user totally and completely unaware that he's spreading a destructive virus with every click of his mouse and tap of his keyboard... That is the purpose of this site. Our main goal is to inform the public of the existence, danger, and eradication of the id10t virus.

[Listening to: Cowtown - They Might Be Giants - (2:20)]

Well, I'm on my fourth IP of the month...Any of you who use dial-up won't see this as a big deal, but I'm on a cable connection. I had the same IP address for 2 and a half years prior to this. I had it memorized. That, and my library card number, but that's beside the point. Anyway, here's the list of the comings and goings of the IPs:

IP AddressWhy?
68.3.25.38My original IP
The one that started
it all
IP 2 (I didn't
even bother
remembering this one)
Got a new router, but it
was so old that it didn't
support Cox's speeds
68.3.24.247New router #2
The one I'm currently using
Netgear RP614
Great router, by the way
68.98.18.98Cox had to re-synch the router,
which involved releasing
the DHCP data.

So, I've been number-happy as of late, screwing up links to my server repeatedly. I've considered signing up for one of those free domain name services (no-ip.com or whatever), but I don't see a need for it as of yet.

On another, happier note, I just remembered to announce that I have a new digital camera.

I have a new digital camera!

It's a Canon Powershot G5. If anyone has shooting tips, send 'em to my e-mail address, and I'll have a look at 'em. I might even set up a digital photo gallery, or just add a section of the site for digital photography ("Digital Photography for id10t's"...I can see it now...). If I get enough/any support for this upcoming idea, we might even hold photography competitions. Just an idea, so don't get your hopes up...yet. Anyway, just a little update from the life of me. Later, y'all.
